If I were transgender?

I would have to fight for my right to exist. I would spend more time worrying about which restroom to go into. I would be single because every potential mate would fetishize my very existence or discriminate against me for something I possess or don’t possess between my legs. As an African American I would face a much rougher treatment than my fairer counterparts who are treated like princesses. The inequality I see on a daily basis is inexcusable or unacceptable but who would I tell? The same exact people blaming cis-hetero males for everything under the sun treat Black transwomen like the Boogie Man. Am I suppose to ignore hypocrisy and deceit because of political affiliations that are man made and trivial? Am I suppose to ignore the plight of Transwomen because thats not my experience? We have all acknowledged the struggles that Black women face raising children often times alone or with a spouse whose not emotionally involved but Black men and transwomen and Trans men are not privileged. We’re all fighting our own unique battles. We also need to offer each other support and give it. Nobody should be taking advantage of another.
