This is a city where you have to watch your words. People are very sensitive and uptight. I have learned through very awkward interactions. And I consider myself a very reserved person who tends to watch what I say careful. This city is VERY sensitive and should come with a warning label. Nobody tells you, I figured it out as a comedian. Jokes didn’t get laughter and people got offended. It’s my fault for moving here without a moment’s notice. But in my defense there aren’t any better cities to live in. The air, water and food here are unmatched. All the little urban villages and culture. This city is beyond cool. It makes it worth all the awkward moments of “Seattle Freeze” or passive aggressive shenanigans you have to put up with. I tend to get embarrassed very easily but as I have gotten older I don’t feel that emotion the same way. Being a black man I have gotten use to concealing my emotions as they can be turned against me. With all that being said all the friendships you build in Seattle are on weak ground. You’re a few misplaced words away from ruining your friendships here. I am quite serious though this might be funny to some people.
